National Accreditation
GLAD House is accredited by the Council on Accreditation. The Council on Accreditation is an independent, not-for-profit international accreditor of the full continuum of community-based behavioral health care and human service organizations.
In 2022, GLAD House received excellent scores on the COA standards through our most recent re-accreditation process. This distinction attests that GLAD House exemplifies COA’s program of quality improvement that is designed to identify providers that have met high performance standards and have made a commitment to their stakeholders to deliver the very best quality services. This is verified through the detailed review and analysis of both an organization’s administrative operations and its service delivery as “measured” against the national standards of best practice.
In 2006, GLAD House was recognized as an outstanding provider of quality services when it first received national accreditation and in 2010, GLAD House celebrated the honor of receiving expedited re-accreditation approval as a result of achieving compliance with all of the required fundamental practice standards!

We participate in CCAP (Collaborative for Children of Addicted Parents) Group, a collaborative group that began meeting locally in 2013 to address the negative effects (physical, mental and developmental) of children with families impacted by parental addiction.
We also participate in Joining Forces for Children on the School Age Channel, which strives to address and prevent the risks of childhood adversity and work to strengthen families with the skills, knowledge, support and resources they need to nurture their children’s health and well-being.
